Homemade biscuits

We love making homemade biscuits and we love having H help in the kitchen. She is a big part of meals. If she sees us about to cook something she goes and gets her apron and chair and is ready to help. She mixes, measures, and pours ingredient. And she helped put them on the cookie sheet. She takes so much more pride in what she is eating knowing that she made it.
We don't have a real exact recipe for biscuits but here is what it consist of:
self rising flour
butter flavored shortening
Milk
mix flour and shortening with fork till consistent and add milk till moistened. then spoon on sprayed cookie sheet and bake on 450 for 20-30 minutes? not really sure on time just till smells right and is starting to brown on top. I know it is really vague sorry but they are delicious.

After we had the biscuits in the oven H played with the leftover dough for the biscuits the whole time they were in the oven it was like play dough to her she had so much fun.
