Muffin Tin Monday Memorial Day

Today we honored our fallen soldiers with a Memorial Day MTM. My husband served in the US. Navy for 6 years and so grateful that he is still with us and respect the soldiers who did not make it home and pray for their families.
So it is not a "muffin tin" but it is a cut red white and blue divider lol. we had hot dogs on the grill, star shaped apples and fruit leather, and a cupcake with red white and blue sprinkles.

Practing with scissors

H can cut all day long but I am trying to work with her on control. I do not expect her to get it right. I encourage her to stay in the lines, however, I want to make it fun and just introduce the idea to her. I do not believe in forcing learning on children at a small age so this is just for fun.

Muffin tin Monday

Hi everyone. I have not been able to post as much as I would like to lately I am working on catching up. Here is what we had for lunch today. Cutie orange, black olives, cheese its, peanut butter and jelly, a gummy worm, and watermelon. H eat it all which is a really big deal cause lately she has been going through little phases of not wanting to eat. happy Monday!

The Letter A

H told me and my husband last night that she did not want to wait till she was 5 to go to school. She wants to go now maybe they will take her at 3 lol. I told her we can play "school" at home and she got really excited about it and told me she wants to learn to read and write. So I set up the chalk board and a list of items that start with the letter A. We talked about the letter, its sound and things that started with A, and practiced writing. She loved the concept and even started to draw things that started with the letter. I am going to have her looking for the letter A all throughout the town. She has recognized all her letters and the sounds they make and words that start with it since she was 26 months. She has been writing her name for about 6 months also. so it is not like we don't do this already but she wants it to have a title I guess. lol if she is interested I am going to take more advantage of it.
